Thorteck Ecology is to help the Architect and Client with the planning process as Bat Surveys are becoming an integrated part of planning applications.

Surveys that may disturb bats or roosts by either entering a roost or handling bats to confirm their species need to be carried out by a licence holder.

All our Bat Surveyors  are carried out by fully trained professionals using  the latest equipment.

Surveys  can be conducted between May and September and the seasonal nature of bats should be taken into account when programming survey work and planning applications.

Sometimes an Architect or Client may think there are no bats in the building and want to start the project as soon as possible then the planning office asks for the Bat Survey, this then could delay the start of the project until you get the Survey.

We believe that as well as being a Conservation Builder offering  Bat Survey’s we are offering you the full building service and this helps the whole project run smoothly.
